contour

The human body is full of nuance that benefits from an exclusivity found only in minimalism. The world is exceptionally detailed, providing rich and nebulous information from which we draw meaning. Every time you open your eyes, your brain takes in millions of data points about what you see. All of that information is filtered and screened to provide a comprehensible image, a narrative which ignores any detail that doesn't directly correlate to what you need to know. These contour portraits are simply an extension of that process. Each one is as much about what is left out as what is included. They are fast paced sketches of the human form, documentation of how we see the world and each other. Incomplete, but not insubstantial.
